Tuna salad a complete meal and so delicious!

Love, love salads. And a Tuna salad is a complete meal.

Salads are fresh, seasonal, and so healthy.

They allow you to be creative and have fun with the different colors textures and tastes. No too many rules when it comes to salads, just mix what you like and enjoy. The word SALATA in Greek means exactly that, you are all mixed up, just like a salad!LOL

Salads are excellent as a side dish or a main meal.

If you like add some other protein, like Chicken, and they are so perfect!

If you are a vegetarian, omit the protein and add a baked potato.Wow…

Here is myTuna salad recipe!

Tuna salad Litsa!
Tuna salad Litsa!
  • Ingredients
  • ½ lettuce
  • 1 cup Corn
  • 1 Avocado
  • ½ red Pepper
  • 1 Zucchini
  • 4 fresh Onions
  • Dill according to your taste
  • Capers according to your taste
  • Olives
  • Radishes
  • Salt,  and a touch of Oregano
  • 1 can Tuna in oil

For the dressing, you will need, olive oil, white balsamic vinegar a pinch of sugar a little mayonnaise.

The classic vinaigrette or dressing ratio is 3 oil 1 vinegar, but I don’t do the ratio because I like my salads with a little kick they get from more vinegar and I don’t feel the greasiness of the oil. I use my taste as a ratio and it works every time.

Prepare all your vegetables and place in a big salad platter, add your dressing. Mix well, and add the rest of your ingredients.

Voila!

One perfect tuna salad!

Here is a tip, prepare enough vegetables for 2 salads, place one portion in a plastic bag and in the refrigerator, have ready for the next day,(The cut-up vegetables I mean.)

The next day you can add some chicken, or fish, or boiled eggs and you will have another meal waiting.

How smart is that!
