Phyllo Nests with seafood! By Litsa! Excerpt from her book Boukia-Boukia!
The recipe is for 12 nests
1 ½ cups mock crab meat cut up or cooked shrimp!
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tsp lemon juice
¼ tsp mustard powder or 1 tbsp regular mustard
2-3 drops Tabasco
1 tbsp capers finely cut
3 tbsp pickles finely cut
Those are the ingredients for the filling, we mix well together and keep refrigerated until we are ready to use!
For the nests, you will need 2 Sheets of Phyllo!
Butter each phyllo and cut in 12 small squares, place each little square in the muffin cup!
Repeat with the second phyllo and place them on top of the one in the muffin cup.
That is how you create the little nests, and you can fill them with different mixtures!
Bake the nests for 10 minutes at 325.
Let the little nests cool and fill them with the mixture!
Excellent finger food, delicious addition for wine and cheese!
