Tirokafteri dip (hot cheese dip)

A delicious dip made with Feta cheese and red peppers!

Good bread and you are ready to go! A nice meze!

Tirokafteri dip Litsa!

  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup feta cheese
  • 1 red pepper grilled skin removed
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • A few drop of olive oil
  • A pinch of oregano
  • Red pepper flakes according to taste

In a food processor or in a blender add all ingredients together and work mixture for a few minutes until nice and smooth.

Serve with good bread.

Litsa’s Tip # 1

To remove the skin from grilled pepper easily, place pepper in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap for a few minutes.

Litsa’s Tip # 2

If your feta is too salty rinse it in cool water gently, place in a deep container and add milk to cover feta. Your cheese will become more mellow. You can keep the container in the refrigerator.
