Tirokafteri dip (hot cheese dip)

1 cup feta cheese
1 red pepper grilled skin removed
3 tbsp lemon juice
A few drop of olive oil
A pinch of oregano
Red pepper flakes according to taste
In a food processor or in blender add all ingredients together and work mixture for a few minutes till nice and smooth.
Serve with good bread.
Litsa's Tip # 1
To remove skin from grilled pepper easily, place pepper in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap for a few minutes.
Litsa's Tip # 2
If your feta is too salty rinse in cool water gently place in a deep container and add milk to cover feta. Your cheese will become more mellow. You can keep the container in the refrigerator. |
