Greek Honey is internationally known as a very special honey!

It is produced by honey bees and derived from the nectar of flowers.

The landscape of Greece makes Greek flora so rich that from the 7500 different species of plants growing in Greece, 850 of them are found exclusively here in Crete.

Longer summer days are a great benefit for honey production.

Flowers bloom for longer hours, the bees can fly longer periods and they produce more honey.

The amazing aroma and wonderful taste of Greek honey is the result of the large variety of plants like Thyme,Lavender,Rosemary Lime and Orange blossoms,Thyme honey exists only in Greece.

The ph of honey is commonly 3.2 and 4.5, this acidic ph level prevents the growth of many bacteria, and that is the reason honey if kept in the right container will keep for a long time. GLASS CONTAINERS ARE IDEAL.

The many uses of honey are in cooking baking and as a spread on bread; it is also used as a sweetener for tea. Honey and lemon is excellent for the treatment of sore throats.
