Brussels sprouts and the love-hate relationship. Not too many people like them never mind love them.

Brussels sprouts By Litsa!

Brussels sprouts By Litsa!

They take such a bad rap, and they are so healthy, packed with so much flavor and taste.

Many people get them because they are so cute clustered together like a giant grape and they know how good and healthy they are, they will try to enjoy them and they will fail, because Brussels sprouts are temperamental and you have to know how to deal with them!

Here is the way I make them and paradoxically are liked, even the pickiest eaters want more!

Here is what to use

  • Ingredients
  • One beautiful cluster of Brussels sprouts
  • 10 slices of bacon cut into small pieces
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes
  • ½ cup Italian salad dressing
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup Maple syrup

Here is how

Remove Brussels sprouts from the cluster and also remove the outer hard leaves.

In a Heavy pan add the oil, bacon, onion, and garlic, sauté for a few minutes.

Add the Brussels sprouts and continue for 4-5 minutes.

At this point add all the liquids together and season the Brussels sprouts.

Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes or until most of the liquids are gone.

You will be pleasantly surprised with the taste and you will adopt this recipe for sure.
